Misc.

Just a few random photos of the girls.

Madison (L), Kira & MacKenzie. Lately, the head goes to the side when taking a picture. It is pretty cute/funny.
The girls LOVE when we let them watch a movie on our bed. Here they are with a little caramel popcorn and good movie.
Madison (L) and MacKenzie playing on our balcony.
Kira is really into play-doh. I am surprised I got her to look away -- notice that head tilt again. :)
MacKenzie (L), Madison & Kira. Our good friends from Cananda (Bonnie, Larry, Josh & Cole) got the girls their Roots hoodies and also their adorable hats. A friend of Bonnie's makes them. I LOVE them! Oh and notice how Kira is always watching what her big sisters are doing. And trust me she does mock them ALL the time. She is a mini-me of whomever is the funniest at the time

Bouncy Land

Last weekend we took the girls to Bouncy Land at the Convention Center near us. The girls had a blast. We spent a good 3 hours there and I am not sure who was more tired -- them or me.

The even had these awesome boats for kids to ride in. All 3 girls LOVED them and cried when they had to get out. MacKenzie is in the blue/white sweater and Madison is in the pink/white sweater.
This is where I spent most of my time. LOL
Madison (and if you look close you can see Kira's pink butt climing up the steps).

Lunar New Year -- Year of the Ox

This is a very big Holiday here in Korea. The Lunar New Year is on Monday, but a lot of Koreans have all of next week off work. Cliff has Monday and possibley Tuesday off. I LOVE any Holiday that gives Cliff more time at home with us. Today we went for a drive to see Cliff's golf course, but unfortunately the gates were locked. This is crazy since they work 7 days a week on his site. Everyone must be off celebrating with their families. My friend, Kiley, has some great information on her blog about the Lunar New Year. Her and her family lived in Korea for 3 years and just currently moved to China for her husband's work. She is experiencing the Lunar New Year a lot differently then we are here. Check out her site at the right side of my page. It is gogovivi -- Kiley's Blog.

Since the golf course was closed we went for some lunch and then found a cute little playground in this teeny tiny town. It is way nicer then the one at our apartment. The girls had a great time. Now they are all napping -- aaahhh the silence (besides the person playing piano in the apartment directly above us -- aaahhh apartment living).

This is Bi Bim Bop. A very tasty Korean dish. It has rice, bean sprouts, spinach, radish, cucumbers, mushrooms and a raw egg on top. You mix this concoction up and YUMMY!
I am not sure how Cliff knew what to order when looking at this menu! They speak not one word of English at this place, but Cliff does a great job with the Korean he does know when ordering us some lunch. I am always impressed.
Cliff and girls at little hole in the wall Korean Restaurant (but very good food). Cliff found this place because his golf course is near this little town
Family Photo. I love my small tri-pod that my mother-in-law gave me. It fits in my purse and is so easy to use. And usually when I do a photo with the timer the girls look right at the cameara because of the flashing light. Works like a charm. (Madison is in the pink hat, MacKenzie is in the blue hat and Kira in the green hat.

Weekend with Friends

We had such a nice weekend with Jenny, Benjamin and Sadie. We took the kids to the Bexco Convention Center near our house. They always seem to have fun activities going on for kids. One of the rooms was all devoted to Pororo (a Korean cartoon about a penguin and his friends). The kids had a great time. The rest of weekend we just hung out and relaxed. The kids were good and the company was great! Thanks Jenny and kids for such a nice time. We love you guys. Next time we will make sure that Steve can come too.

This is Pororo Land. Kira is in the green outfit. Look at the size of the balls! How fun is that?
Madison (L), MacKenzie and Pororo's friend the Fox (not sure of his name).
Lunch Time.
The kids made cupcakes at Pororo Land.

Potty Training

I am not sure how this happened, but all of a sudden I am in the process of potty training Kira. Maybe I should say that Kira is in the process of potty training Kira. As of yesterday she has been wearing underwear all day and peeing in the potty. As a parent you set goals and timelines as to when you will jump feet first into some "BIG" change, but I guess Kira is in charge of this big change. Is it really surprising that she has taken this into her own hands? She is miss, "Do it myself (or mysels as she calls it). MacKenzie & Madison aren't 100% trained yet, so I am hoping that this will give them an extra push into the big girl catagory. They are all about being a big girl. It looks like I am going to have 3 big girls on my hands before I know it! YOU GO GIRLS! I am proud of each and every one of you.

Look at all of the toilet paper in the potty. She was quiet for way too long! LOL

She can climb up on the toilet herself. Fun to watch. I am waiting for a foot to get wet in the process.
Kira in her big girl undies. Every day I get her dressed and before noon she is usually down to just her diaper or undies -- by her own doing. Another thing she is in charge of. YIKES, what will she be like at 16? GOD help me.

Our Time in Minnesota

There really is no place like home. The girls and I had such a wonderful time visiting with family and friends. We tried to fit in as much as possible while we were home. We are so blessed to have such wonderful family and friends who love and adore our children (and vice versa). Thank you all for some really special memories. We love and miss you all!

This is kind of long, but these are some highlights of our time at home. We managed to fit in deer hunting, Thanksgiving, Black Friday, Viking's games, Christmas (about 6 of them), 2 birthday parties, and many, many other fun things. The time flew by and here we are back in Korea already. Now the countdown until May is on!

Birthday Girls

Well, we are now back in Korea. It was a wonderful few months at home. We are in the process of trying to get the girls (and ourselves) on Korea time. It sure it tough. So, I apologize if this post doesn't make sense. I feel like I just downed about 6 beers. I wonder if that would help? LOL

Today was my baby girls' 4th birthday. Where has the time gone? It seems like yesterday we found out we were having twins and in the blink of an eye they are 4! It sure has been a wonderful 4 years. They have grown and changed so much -- especially in the past few months. It is such a joy to watch your children grow into such wonderful little people. I love you my babies! HAPPY BIRTHDAY!

Here are a few photos from today. It was pretty low key since we had their birthday party back in Minnesota. Instead of cake we had donuts. They thought that was wonderful. They loved that we sang Happy Birthday to each of them separately. It was wonderful to see each of them light up when it was just about them at that moment.

Okay, I promise to be better at blogging now that we are back in Korea. To those of our family and friends at home: we miss you already! Thank you for such a wonderful few months. We love you all! To those of you in Korea: we look forward to seeing you.
